During the Fourteenth Five Year Plan period, Beijing will designate areas where non- residential users are prohibited from using LPG. In accordance with the principle of "gas is suitable for gas and electricity is suitable for electricity", Beijing will speed up the replacement work and complete the replacement of prohibited areas by the end of 2023. In order to improve the gas safety and service level, it is proposed in the plan that by the end of 2023, the pressure regulators with safety gas cylinders will be replaced for the city's bottled LPG residents, and the wire woven covered connecting hoses will be installed. By the end of 2025, the installation of gas self closing valves and metal connecting hoses for natural gas residential users in the city will be completed.

The plan proposes that during the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" period, the capital gas industry will take high-quality development as the goal, reasonably control the development scale, and continuously improve the safety and service level. By 2025, the annual consumption of natural gas will be controlled within 20 billion cubic meters, and the growth rate will be significantly reduced; The annual consumption of liquefied petroleum gas shall be controlled within 150000 tons, and the resource guarantee mainly depends on the allocation of market resources.
